Lao Airlines receives ISO certification

Following an inspection from the Societe Generale de Surverllance (SGS), Lao Airlines has received international Organization for Standardization Certification (ISO 9001:2008) for ticket sales and booking services from the United Kingdom’s Accreditation Service (UKAS).

The board and management of Lao Airlines have always been committed to operating air service that provide the highest standards of service Consequently, the airlines has been working towards ISO certification for ticket sales and booking since 2006, including full reform aimed at bringing the company in line with international standards through the modernization of online booking and ticketing, as well as enhanced training for staff at all levels. This is designed to ensure far-reaching policy that will allow fulfilling its objectives:” Quality service, international standards, loyal customers and continued development.”

Delegates from Lao Airlines say that ISO 9001:2008 reflects the real pride and inspiration that exists throughout the airlines and that it represents a key step towards the company’s continued advancement.

The ISO 9001:2008 award ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr Sommad Pholsena, Minister of Public works and Transport, Mr Montrytang Teumsirikuon SGS Representative and Dr Somphone Duangdara, President of Lao Airlines and many others.
